We’re perhaps a little early with this flavor, since National Creamsicle Day is celebrated August 14th. But that’s ok, in the land of MilkMade it’s a celebration every day!
Flavor of the Month: Flavor #110. Cara Cara Creamsicle orange ice on the oustide, sweet cream on the inside
We’re kicking summer off early with this one. And bringing you back to the heyday of your youth, running around in the grass, chomping on a creamsicle, carefree as free can be. Orange ice on the outside, vanilla cream on the inside. We made our pints the same, with sweet Cara Cara’s from sunny California, and Madecasse vanilla sourced from family farms on Madagascar.

The inspiration for this flavor came from a tumblr fan of ours named Allie H from Lowell, Massachusetts. (Hi Allie! - and thanks for your idea!!) And you can see for yourself how delicious this flavor turned out to be. So tumblr pals, keep the suggestions coming!
Thank you Spring, for finally coming around. We were expecting more April showers, but we’re not complaining! We took all that sunshine and packed it in May’s pints.
Flavor of the Month: Flavor #109. Bee Sting salted honey ice cream with caramelized sunflower seeds
Sugar, oh Honey Honey. You are my candy girl, and you got me wanting you. Word to the wise, this pint is best consumed while tuning into this classic by the Archies. We’ll get you wanting us, that’s for sure, once you take spoonful this salty-sweet, caramel-honey, sunny sunny pint. A perfect pint for a picnic in the park with your Sugar.
Let us tell ya ‘bout the birds and the bees, and the flowers and the trees. They’re all going into this month’s flavor creations. (Minus the birds, ew.) We’re got a pair of pints perfect for your next primavera picnic. First on the menu is the Bee Sting, an adaptation of a flavor suggested by a tumblr fan. Salty sweet and sunny, one bite of Flavor #109 will get you wanting more. And then Flavor #110, is Cara Cara Creamsicle - modeled after a fave childhood treat, this pint is creamy vanilla ‘scream, ensconed by an icy cool Cara Cara orange sherbet.

STEP 4 - To pack the pints, we do it by hand. They definitely sell molds for this, but we went real hand-crafted. First we pack the chocolate ‘scream and let it harden. Then we add the fresh-churned vanilla to the other half.

Is there anything more New York than New York? And is there a cookie more New York than the Black and White cookie? A spongey shortbread cookie, dressed in perfect halves — chocolate fudge and vanilla fondant. Inspired by this iconic NYC treat, we crafted the Black and White Pint. Half chocolate shortbread, half vanilla fondant, and chunks of Black and Whites from 1902-established family-run bakery, Glaser’s, in Yorkville (that’s the Upper East!). What side will you eat first?
The making of MilkMade flavor #107. Gotham Basil Chip basil ice cream with chipped chocolate
STEP 4 - Once the basil is infused, and the chocolate is chipped (yes, we chip our own chocolate in-house), we churn the base and add the two together.
A bite of our Gotham Basil Chip will first be fresh, sweet — basily! Delicate and light - but oddly basily. Crunch down on the chipped chocolate in every bite. The cacao, dark and lingering, will soon overcome the basil. Repeat with each bite.
