Per the recommendation of our pals at Red Jacket Orchards, apricot was the ripest, freshest fruit available this month. So we whipped up a creamy roasted apricot ice cream, and paired it with the delicious blueberry homemade pop tarts from Pies N Thighs for our second flavor offering for August. Ahh - so good!

flavor of the month 1: Debt by Chocolate

You can’t get away from the debt debate these days, can you? Even here in our kitchen (what - I went to business school! I love it). So, in all honestly, the name came first. Instead of Death by Chocolate it’s Debt by Chocolate.. get it? And it was a perfect opportunity to present our awesome white chocolate flavor we created recently. This is a super dense white chocolate ice cream made with Green and Black’s organic white chocolate, studded with dark chocolate chips from the Brothers Mast.
This one is our favorite. From Margaret and Joy. Ain’t she a beaut?

This is our Strawberry Shortcake flavor of the month for July. It’s rich creamy strawberry ice cream made with the last strawberries of the season from Red Jacket Orchards, with chunks of delicious, dense shortbread from SCRATCHbread.

You guys, we got our hands on the last strawberries of the season from Red Jacket Orchards. I cut about 1000 of these bad boys up this weekend to make pint after pint of our Strawberry Shortcake flavor for our Members. So far they say it is awesome.
SOOO - what better ‘scream theme of the week for Strawberry Shortcake to kick off than - childhood nostalgia. This will be fun. Get excited for what’s to come this week!
Margaret and Joy are at it again with some amazing photos of our monthly flavor creations. This month, they’ve taken our Gimme S’More flavor and created a whole photo collage on the theme. With summer on its way, we’re excited to head to the mountains (when we’re not at the beach, or the kitchen, or our members’ doorstep, that is). Thus inspired, we’ve created the best rendition of a s’more you’ve ever had - a creamy graham cracker ice cream, fire roasted marshmallows made by Red Hook based bakery, Baked, and chocolate chunks from our favorite brothers in Williamsburg, Mast Brothers Chocolate. If your tastes are anything like ours, this one will leave you saying GIMME S’MORE.
