This past weekend the leaders of NYU’s ITP program hosted a festival bringing together experienced entrepreneurs with those who are ready to take the leap and those who have just recently lept!
Joanne Wilson (@thegothamgal), mentor, role model and dear friend to many – including me – was a chair of the festival. Last fall, over a breakfast to map out my “plan”, she told me all about the weekend, listing the group of amazing speakers she had lined up and invited me to cater the Friday night dinner for the speakers at her home.
I had the great opportunity to not only attend the Women Entrepreneurs Festival this weekend, but also help my new friend Home Cook Superstar, Sarah Simmons, with dessert at Friday night’s dinner party. We paired our salted caramel ‘scream with an amazing little rosemary shortbread she made. More to come about the conference, but Sarah pretty much sums it up
“even though I missed the panels and speakers, I can tell you the energy in the room was invigorating. And from the bits I overheard while passing by with platters, the event was an amazing success.
And I heard the food was good too.”
It was.
